Hi! My name is Elizabeth Gibbs. I am the Owner and Grooming Instructor at Barkwood Grooming. My love for dogs started at 5 years old when I rescued my first puppy, Sparky.
In my 17 years of grooming experience, I’ve become a national certified master groomer, won as a contestant on HBO max “Haute Dog”, and earned a spot on Groom Team USA two years in row 2021/2022 (Top ten ranked in the country).
After working in L.A. as a groomer to the stars, I wanted to bring back the environment to my hometown. Upscale grooming that requires skill, patience, luxury products, and a talented team of Groomers. The idea of Barkwood Grooming came to me and has been a dream come true!
When I am not grooming, I show my own dogs in AKC breed competition events, teach grooming seminars, work with our local dog rescue “Three Little Pitties” or am likely playing a game of Pickleball!

The mobile grooming services Friendswood, Clear Lake, League City, Pearland and close surrounding areas. We Also offer latch key service. This means if you’re not home, we can retrieve your dog and safely return them while you’re gone for the day!
